Asbury United Methodist Church’s Women’s Association invites you to its 25th Annual Soup Fest. Meals include a bowl of delicious soup (choice of Chicken Noodle, Broccoli Cheese, Ham & Bean, or Baked Potato), salad, bread, drink, and dessert. Carry out soup will also be available. Tickets are available at the door.

CommUnity Giving Day – Les Dames D'Escoffier

Les Dames D'Escoffier/Kansas City Chapter and Whole Foods Market is hosting a 5% CommUnity Giving Day. Les Dames D'Escoffier is an international organization of woman leaders who create a supportive culture in their communities to achieve excellence in the food, beverage and hospitality professions. The Les Dames D'Escoffier International chapters have raised approximately $3 million to fund philanthropic endeavors like culinary scholarships, food service training for underprivileged women, culinary libraries and the Green Tables Civic Agriculture and Garden Initiative. Complications of diabetes can be prevented if blood sugar is controlled most of the time. Following a meal plan is the first step. Learn how to fix healthful and tasty meals. A local pharmacist will provide an update on diabetic medications.
